Print vs. Digital
Why should you care about the difference between print versus digital process.
Coming from a print background has been one of the biggest skills that I bring into the digital space. Ink on paper is a mechanical process that has a lot of rules, and when broken or missed can cost you a lot of money.
Digital changes are mainly time and the impact from a cost standpoint is minimal compared to print (depending on where you are in the print process). You can make a text change easily, and most of the time not too many people have seen the mistake online, however in print your are reprinting a flyer that looked great on your monitor screen and once printed strange things happen to the colours, clarity and resolution.
The transition from web to print has rules, and sometimes you need help with this process. Building for print may seem like an unnecessary step, and when working with me this is always a consideration we will talk about in the beginning of your project. Because sooner or later you will want to put ink on paper of that beautiful web design or want to make a large sign or pull-up banner for a trade show.
